Sources and data governance

How SolarGabay classifies, reviews, expires, and audits data sources.

Source types include official publications, supplier-published data, installer submissions, user submissions, verified quotations, and SolarGabay planning estimates. Records should show observation date, location and product scope, confidence, review date, and expiry.

Installer discovery uses a local static public-source directory. Public-source checking confirms listed public details, not workmanship, pricing, engineering quality, or customer outcomes.

Expired records are labeled or excluded. Public users cannot modify approved records directly, and sponsorship cannot change source quality or editorial conclusions.

When sources disagree, SolarGabay prefers the most authoritative and current document, records the conflict, and avoids presenting the disputed value as settled fact. Readers can submit corrections with the affected URL and supporting evidence through the corrections page.
